Monica Marie LaBonte, from her early days at her mother’s piano to her current status as a seasoned artist, has always been guided by song. Her crystalline vocals blend folk and country, weaving the fragility and wonder of life into intimate, graceful, and gritty tunes. With over 10 years of experience, the Colorado native has captivated audiences at venues like the Gold Hill Inn and Planet Bluegrass.

Known for her time in the mystic-Americana band Monocle, LaBonte’s solo work shines with authenticity. A finalist in the 2018 Songwriter Showcase at Rocky Mountain Folks Fest, she continues to garner critical praise. A natural wordsmith in the vein of Joni Mitchell and Alison Krauss, LaBonte has performed at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and been praised by Daniel Rodriguez of Elephant Revival as having “a voice I trust.” Powerful yet understated, she is a talent to watch.
